Stormy Sunset over Okanagan Lake

Most evenings, while others are making dinner or already dining, you will find us up on the KVR trail, somewhere between Arawana and the little tunnel. At that hour, the sky and the lake can be incredible.

The lake can take on tones of molten copper, gold or lead, depending on how the sun plays though the clouds or mist. Sometimes, it doesn’t even look real. On this particular evening, there were some pretty serious storm clouds hovering over the opposite shore but a few rays broke through to momentarily light up the surface.
